Doctrinal Statement

We Believe:

1. All Scripture was given by the inspiration of God and is therefore the supreme standard by which all conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.

2. The triune God is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and reigns with providential care over His universe. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He was crucified, dead and buried for our sin and on the third day rose victorious over death (bodily). He will return with power and glory to establish His eternal kingdom. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who convicts us of sin, draws us to God, dwells within us, and empowers us for service.

3. God created man in His own image, without sin and having freedom of choice. By the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world, separating people from God. By Jesus' shed blood, salvation is offered freely to all who accept Him as Lord and Savior. We are a new creation because of God's work of redemption and regeneration.

4.The church is the body of Christ, consisting of all regenerated people of all time, and functions through the assembly of believers. The local church is a community with Spirit-given gifts that enable us to minister and proclaim Christ to the world.

5. In Christian baptism by the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience testifying to our faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It symbolizes our death to sin, the burial of our old life, and the resurrection to the new. We believe that the Lord's Supper is an act of obedience, wherein we partake of the bread and the cup remembering and proclaiming Jesus death until He comes again.

6. That all those who are regenerated by God's Holy Spirit are called to walk humbly with God in a life of service to their fellow humans. Because God has always been a God of justice, love and mercy, we who call ourselves by His name should seek to establish justice and to be people of reconciliation and healing as we proclaim Christ to the world.
