Maranathan Health Center

African Women of Love Ministry. The health center will be located in the Rural area of Freetown in the Western part of Sierra Leone,  is one of the 14 Districts of Freetown  the capital city of Sierra Leone and is the heart of the Western area, located on a peninsula on the south bank of the estuary of the Sierra Leone River. The city lies at the foot of the Peninsula Mountains and faces one of the best natural harbors on the west coast of Africa.

PURPOSE: The health center will represent a new concept of faith in action.  Reaching the underprivileged and vulnerable is our most concern, and caring for the sick is the best tradition of the ministry.  This validates our commitment to see to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the community.  The World Health Organization defines “health” as a state of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

The Maranathan Health center will operate as an out patient and in-patient center (only for child care).  At low cost/no cost to those in need.  The goal will be to work on all three levels.  We will rely on volunteers from all professions

CHILDREN’S CLINIC: THE CLINIC WILL also have a UNIT FOR sick or healthy BABIES WHO DO NOT HAVE ANYONE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM, or who are abandon.  WE will ASSIGN SOCIAL WORKERS WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO MONITOR our hot line for INCOMING CALLS REPORTING BABIES IN NEED.

We will have a direct contact with the police chief who will report to the center of any abandon child.  We will immediately report any call we receive to the police, they will send a dispatcher with the social worker to pick up a child in need.    The clinic will employ paid employees and volunteers.   These children will be cared for and we will also look for suitable families to adopt them.

Come be part of this wonderful ministry, to help solve the solution to the need of the people in Sierra Leone..
